Frequently Asked Questions

+ What is a peel and what to expect?

As we age, cell turnover slows which usually gives us a dull complexion. We can carve out the damage, revealing healthy looking, radiant skin!

Peeling is a side effect and not the goal of a ‘chemical peel’. We choose ingredients in each peel formula to treat all skin concerns:

  • sensitive skin/ rosacea
  • hyperpigmentation
  • laxity (aging)
  • acne.

It is important to note that the benefits of the peel treatment are the ingredients going into the skin (versus what comes off/dead skin), as the ingredients in the peel formula are doing all of the work underneath the surface.

While some people peel after chemical exfoliation, some may not. There are a lot of factors that go into whether or not someone will peel after chemical exfoliation such as: how much dead skin has accumulated, time of the year, humidity levels, skin health, genetics, daily care being used.

7-10 days after a peel, the skin is usually softer and absorbs product much easier, pore size is smaller, and skin tone is brighter.

With most skin concerns, more than one peel is recommended and many will continue to receive a peel once every 2-6 weeks for maintenance (just like going to the gym!).

+ When do I start seeing a change in my skin?

You will see a visible improvement in approximately 3 weeks on the new protocol and we will usually assess complete results 4 months from the date of your initial visit.

+ Can I keep some of my current skincare products for daily use?

While we encourage sustainability and reducing waste, the correcting regimen is pretty strict and needs to be followed as instructed, in order to get the results you want.

However, you may continue using some of your current skincare products until you’re ready to transition.

+ What is the approximate cost of the treatment?

In average, your personalized 4 month plan for the homecare regimen will amount to around $400, while 3-4 visits will cost you about $150/ visit.
